Abstract

This document presents an application of fuzzy moving sliding mode control with different moving surfaces like rotating, shifting and rotating-shifting surfaces to a non-linear system. The proposal controllers are applied in a chemical process with variable delay and compared against the traditional sliding mode control using the settling time, ISE performance index, ITSE performance index and control effort index. Results show the improvement of the proposal controller with less settling time, ISE and ITSE without increasing the control effort index compared to the traditional sliding mode control.
