Abstract

New coordination complexes of the neutral tripodal tetra-amine Me ₆TREN with tBu ₃Ga or tBu ₂Zn have been synthesised and studied with their molecular structures revealing, for the first time, coordination to metal centres via an η ¹ or η ² mode, adding to previously reported η ³ and η ⁴ ligated examples.
