Abstract

This paper compares the performance of traditional PID, fractional-order PID (FO-PID), and Tilt-Integral-Derivative (TID) controllers in a chemical process with variable delay. The results show that the FO-PID controller generally performs best in minimizing cumulative error, maintaining low error values consistently, and handling disturbances and noise.
