Abstract

This paper introduces the design of a sliding mode controller employing three distinct reaching laws. These laws are implemented and tested within a nonlinear model of a pH process. The study offers a comprehensive and visual comparison of the key features and effectiveness of each control law by conducting extensive simulations and evaluating multiple performance indices. Given the inherently complex nature of pH processes, this research provides valuable information to use advanced control strategies in similar nonlinear systems.
