Abstract

(Figure Presented) Polymeric microstructures, produced in a multi-step chemico-physical process, confine and stabilize a well-aligned nematic liquid crystal (NLC) film, which is doped with a high-performance mesogenic azobenzene dye, sensitive in the visible range.
