Abstract

This paper presents an application of standard NEN-EN-IEC 60601-2-24 to characterize an electro-medical in-fusion device for future insulin dispensing. The proposed device is composed of a linear actuator attached to a reservoir and a cannula. The characterization methodology includes the use of a scale with four decimals of precision to weight each drop that can be dispensed from the device. Accurate device characterization allows precise product dispensing.
