Abstract

This paper presents an overview of undergraduate students enrolled in physics programs in Ecuador, including their motivation to pursue the subject, areas of interest, and suggestions to increase the number of women in the field. Further, we update the information of Ecuadorian female physicists to show their academic achievements and experiences during the process. Both students and professional physicists agree that it is essential to raise awareness of female Ecuadorian physicists' work to motivate other women to study physics in the country.
