Resumen

This paper presents the simulation, design, and implementation of an insulin pump prototype for virtual patients with type 1 diabetes using an SMC controller, validated with the UVA/PADOVA simulator. The results obtained with an average adult patient with a scenario of 5 meals for one day offer 88.88% time in range.
