Dynamical Sliding Mode Controller with Optimized Tuning using Artificial Bee Colony for Integrating Processes with Inverse Response and Deadtime

Resumen

This work proposes an approach for tuning the dynamical sliding mode controller parameters using the artificial bee colony optimization algorithm. The performance of the obtained controller is then compared against a traditional PID and a dynamical sliding mode controller optimized using a heuristics approach by simulating two integrating linear systems with dead time and inverse response. An improvement in performance indexes and transient characteristics was achieved using the proposed approach.
