La historiografía de la Iglesia en el Ecuadoren los últimos cincuenta años

The article offers a general survey of works on the history of the Catholic Church in Ecuador published in the last fifty years. It identifies some general problems, as well as valuable contributions, which are presented according to the different periods of time. It also indicates areas in which further research is required. Given the circumstance that no bibliographical list has yet been published in this country, the present article cites numerous works.
