Resumen

This work aims to provide undergraduate students with practical experience in designing and implementing multivariable control systems. A laboratory setup was created to facilitate real-time simulation and testing, focusing on the Coupled Tank Process, which involves controlling water levels in two connected tanks using two pumps. The system was assembled using basic materials and standard instrumentation, with a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) developed in Matlab for realtime control. The setup incorporates the Relative Gain Array, making it an effective educational tool to teach the fundamentals of multivariable control. The research provides a basis for future exploration of advanced control techniques.
