Resumen

In the buff: The reaction of [Pt(GaCp*)₄] with the Ga ⁺ source [Ga₂Cp*][BAr^F] (Cp* = C₅Me₅; BAr^F = B{C₆H ₃(3,5-CF₃)₂}₄) leads to the title complex, which exhibits a naked gallium atom coordinated to a platinum center. DFT calculations reveal that the Ga⁺ ligand serves as a σ acceptor, and the Pt-Ga bond is additionally supported by strong π interactions. (Figure Presented).
