Resumen

This paper presents the analysis and design of the mode converters from TE10 in a rectangular waveguide to TE01 and TM01 modes in a circular waveguide, achieved through geometric variations and using several novel substructures such as electric field rotators, bends, and T-type dividers in plane-E used to reduce the size of the final prototype and increase the fractional bandwidth. The simulation generated the TE10 and TE01 modes through two components, such as the conversion section and the feed network. The difference between the propagating and nonpropagating modes is greater than 35.0 dB at both converters. Both designs achieve an available percentage of bandwidth of at least 10.0%. Finally, possible structures of mode converter prototypes for a manufactured in-control numeric machine or 3D printer are also presented.
