Resumen

This paper provides a methodology to determine a referential channel model for 5G wireless communications from data provided from extensive simulations using a novel millimeter-wave channel simulator (NYUSIM v1.6.1) developed by the New York University. Power Delay Profiles (PDP) for different urban scenarios have been derived and characterized, for a 28 GHz carrier frequency and a RF bandwidth of 200 MHz. Particularly, Urban Microcell (UMi) and Urban Macrocell (UMa) settings have been considered for this study. Results, from extracted channel properties, for these environments have been compared, and eventually, a new parametric low complexity channel model for 5G wireless communications has been synthesized.
