abstract = "This paper presents the development of a simulation tool using MATLAB for the Bergman, Hovorka and Cobelli mathematical models for the glucose-insulin interaction with the aim to analyze their responses in managing Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. PID controllers for each model were implemented to regulate normoglucemia levels using exogenous insulin. Each model was tested for different scenarios in terms of carbohydrates grams and patient weight. The tool implements a GUI which allows for analysis of the different responses of each model and their comparison.",
