Resumen
The hydrazido-bridged iridium complex (1; Cp* = C5Me5) reacts with H2under pressure with oxidation of the N—N bond to give (3) in its cis and trans forms. In the absence of hydrogen, 3 is converted back to 1 with reduction of the N=N bond. Complex 3 reacts with CCl3Br to give only the cis isomer of (4). Complex 4 is also prepared by reaction of 1 with HBr or Br2.
