abstract = "Almost half a century ago, Kurokawa W. O. Schlosser [1], proposed a quality factor for switching diodes for digital modulation. One year later M. Navarro [2], found the relation between the Quality Factor Q and the hyperbolic distance between the ON-OFF impedances on the Γ-plane. The theory and geometric properties of the simultaneous mapping of the ON-OFF impedances was establish. Subsequently D. Steinbrecher [3], described the application of the theory to several problems involving switching diodes. The purpose of this work is to present the theory itself and to correct some misprints in [2].",
